The dried leaves of wild sumac are used as a decoction for external application. Smradlica has a strengthening, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and hemostatic effect. The herb is used to maintain oral hygiene, for rinsing in inflammation of the gums and oral cavity, rinsing in vaginal inflammations, for compresses in hemorrhoids, dermatitis, etc. It is also suitable for gargles, for baths (for soles) and compresses of various parts of the body.

Directions for use: Outwardly. For a gargle: 1 tablespoon of the herb is boiled in 500 ml of water for 5 minutes. After it cools down, strain.
For a bath, 50 g of the herb is boiled in 2 litres of water for 20 minutes. Allow to stand for 1 hour and strain. Submerge the area you want to treat.
